Bakuchiol is a natural meroterpene compound extracted from the seeds and leaves of the Psoralea corylifolia plant, traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. In recent years, it has gained significant attention in skincare as a plant-based, gentler alternative to retinol. Like retinol, bakuchiol stimulates collagen synthesis, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improves skin elasticity and pigmentation.
