PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a bioactive DNA-derived polymer extracted from the sperm cells of salmon or trout. It consists of a mixture of deoxyribonucleotides with molecular weights ranging from 50 to 1,500 kDa. PDRN acts as a wound-healing and tissue-regenerative agent by activating the adenosine A₂A receptor pathway, which promotes cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and collagen synthesis. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effects. Clinically, PDRN is widely used in dermatology, aesthetics, orthopedics, and ophthalmology for applications such as skin rejuvenation, scar improvement, chronic wound repair, and osteoarthritis management. It is typically supplied as a sterile, colorless to slightly yellowish solution for injection or topical formulation.
